This started off just a normal suzuki, it did have a roll cage, bumpers, lift, rock sliders, belly pan. No tops, doors or rear swing out door. It all started with getting some doors 3 sets now, 1 piece hard top, bikini top.20160129_103523_resized.jpgImage Enlarger20160129_170440.jpgImage Enlarger20160129_170515_resized.jpgImage Enlarger

If I can get everything done to it that I want to I'll take it to slick rock.

I still have 84 toyota axles, jeep yj springs and teraflex revolver shackles to do plus a few minor things just to eta it going.

Then I have a suzuki big block 1.6L to swap in but I'll run this motor till then

I almost forgot with those toyota axles I also have a sky manufacturing samurai steering box to toyota axles and I just scored a 6.5 to 1 tcase for our samurai just have to get it tomorrow.

Most of the parts I have gathered for our project have been bartered for as we don't have the money to buy stuff for this toy, it's just a hobby that we will hopefully be running the trails with soon.

It should be all finished up tomorrow, I don't know if I can post a short video on this thread of the initial fire up but I'll try.

And she is all done thanks to David and his unending suzuki knowledge. Need to add a few tie downs here and there but she runs great and sure has a lot more pick up on acceleration.

Well I was going to post the first fire and running video but it's too big and I can't do it. I don't get it cause it's only like 22 seconds and I have watched videos on here that were longer than that.

Any suggestions on how I can get a video up please let me know

You can Post it to youtube than post the link on here. or Ask the ALL wise web master k-jeep for advice to "the secret way" to post videos.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Ok well not all done just the propane is done. This is a project and just like all projects it's never finished.

Next up is the 6.5 to 1 tcase, toyota axles, high steering and yj springs or toyota springs not sure which I'm going to use yet

If you put in the YJ springs It'll get "some" more favor.....grin

Ok just found this over the weekend. All the hub bolts are sheared off so instead of running this on the next run I'll have to put in the new axles.

84 Toyota axles with new 33" M/T's on them going in soon with cross over steering 20161019_174010.jpgImage Enlarger

Ok well I have had a lot of free time at night when Shaina is sleeping not much to do in the hospital at night. I have been looking all over for axles for my Jeep after reading John's postings bit it is just so expensive for Jeeps (Just Empty Every Pocket) is true.

I can get everything to build my Toyota axles with lifetime warranty on the chromo axels for like 3k and these Toyota axles are said to be a stout as the 9" axles so I think I'm going to build this thing over the top and just save the Jeep for easy family runs instead of spending 10k on Jeep axles.

I have a huge build list going of the things I'm going to start on as soon as we get home and we will eventually be home.

Its all about the vehicle weight.  Toyota axles are most definitely nowhere near as strong as a ford 9" BUT a 4cly samurai on yota axles can run the same size tire reliably as a significantly heavier bronco with a v8.  Apples to oranges comparison is where this type of info comes from.  The jeep is heavier and can hold more so the axles will need to have more beef.
