So being a partner in the Restore of the '64 Willy's I was asked By Timothy to start a thread with pics.

These are starting from the Quarantine thread.

Fixed the tie rod rubbing on the passenger spring.

Got the Transmission shifting system hooked up correctly.

We are doing a Rattle Can paint job "FOR NOW" to get color on it and on the road.

Tailgate, Hood, Rock slider, and Grill (one coat more) are done.

Will be painting one section at a time, Front fenders are next.

We were able to get a Dana 30. The plan is to build it with a ARB.IMG_0023.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0021.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0022.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0111.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0132.jpgImage EnlargerPODG7973.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0141.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0142.jpgImage EnlargerIMG_0079.jpgImage Enlarger

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

It’s shake, rattle, And spray. Then we’ll roll.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Yesterday We got the Rear Motor Seal replacement done and the CJ5 is able to drive now.

The Dana 44 that Timothy had built by East Coast Gear arrived today. Tomorrow we will install it in the Willy's

The original Dana 25 is out. Tomorrow the 44 is going under.

Anyone know someone restoring a classic CJ5 that wants a "back up" Dana 25?

Dana 44 is in and looks great. Got new brake lines ordered, install those. Then Timothy can drive it to Sac Drive line to get a front drive line built.

Looks like you have invisible tires and wheels holding the front end up.

It doesn't have a locker, So probability wouldn't be a good fit.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

And today we moved the rear axle to spring over. A little bit at a time, it's getting there. And yes the rear is a Dana 44.IMG_3844.JPGImage Enlarger

Nice. Some tank I have. Are you installing a pressure relief valve for safety purposes since it is in the cab? Mine is under the cab but I think I installed the relief valve. Mine has taken some rock damage but it is in the only place I could put it that is not in the cab.

The system will be regulated to 120psi, and the bottom fitting will be a relief/drain valve vented to the outside. We looked at mounting it under the body and there really was not enough room. We will be able to also mount the compressor on the frame. And maybe future duel compressors.

By mounting the air tank this way the frame can be used for possible storage platform/deck front mounting point.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

That's looking great. How long did it take to get the axle from ECGS?

Um...what?
