The numbers look good! The only thing that worries me is that it says it draws 95 amps. I'm sure your alternator puts out more than mine, but mine is no where near that. With a decent battery you should be fine.

Do you have a 22re? Build a bracket to fit a york.

That was my first thought. I want to say I am only around 75 to 80 amps on the alternator. I am wondering if my charging system would be up to running something like that or an Oasis.

I need to figure out how to put a 120 to 130 amp alternator in there.

No...I have the 3.slow. Which makes engine bay space even tighter trying to fit an electric compressor under the hood. A 3.4 or mustang 5.0 swap is in the back of my mind, but I am sure those won't help with the space issue either.

I have that exact compressor in my TJ. It runs great and doesn't cause me any electrical problems. My alternator is 140 amps I believe. It's a good unit.

Well if this guy still has this setup I will see how low he will go as I really don't need OBA yet, but at the same time I would hate to pass up a decent deal on a good compressor. I really could use some rims and tires though 🙂 It turns out I also only have a 70 amp alternator, so I would have to get it rewound to get 130 amps.

The ad is expired so I can't see what compressor you're looking at, but if Brad says it's the same one he runs I believe thats the same one I have as well - the ExtremeAir. I'm using a 70 amp fuse on mine and it's never blown and I run my psi up to 145, so I would doubt the 95 amp rating.

I forgot to mention what Fred states. I also run a 70 amp fuse and have never blown it.

Have you found a local source for spare 70 amp Maxi fuses? The highest capacity I've found around here is 60 amps. I picked up one of them, but would feel better having a 70 amp spare.

Thats good info guys. I liked the specs on that compressor and will probably go that route in the future as I don't want to sacrafice my A/C for OBA.

I believe the ad experired Sunday. I sent that guy an e-mail on Friday night and just yesterday I got an e-mail back sating it bounced and it wasn't a good address. Looks like I will wait off on something like that until I get a few other things done. I am heading down to AA driveshaft on Wednesday to get my shafts made, so that is money better spent at this time. I still have my 20lb co2 tank for now, but I am enjoying having it dedicated for my welder and not having to adjust the regulator back and forth.
