Looks good man! Were you able to get enough heat into the tab? That thing is phat.
Those are the same wood clamps you tried to press your shackle bushings in with. Don't worry I only used the clamps of mock up and tack.
Yes those babies are 1"x2"x4.5" solid steel. I turned one of them blue. So i might have heated it to Smurf.

So after a brief trip to the fire in Ventura I have resumed the bumper fab. I reinforced the center and welded the winch plate to the bumper. The bumper was powder coated and I had to use a stripping wheel on the grinder to get to bare metal. Powder coat is legit. My flap wheel wouldn't get through it.

I finally got the on board air installed. This is the york set up I got from Kean. Of course going from Toyota to Jeep I had to get different brackets and a different pulley. I got the tj bracket and serpantine belt from kilby. The other brackets I fabed up yesterday. All the hoses and wiring were made from stuff lying around the garage. The orange hose is my old compressor hose. Its rated to 300 psi so why not. I still dont have a tank but for now I will run without one. Wired the switch to the cigarette lighter. I also wired in a warning light to blink when the compressor is on its amwsing what you can find on the bling isle at Orilie's. I'm excited to finally have a decent air setup. I'm sure everybody is tired of waiting for me.

Thanks everyone, I tested the system yesterday after playing arond at pc and found that the old compressor hose isnt up to the heat. The hose blew of the compressor when I was almost finished with the first tire. I think I might try dot air brake line from big rigs and get an air tank. Any body ever used the vinal air line before?
Thanks

I just saw your install pics and was going to warn you about the heat. York compressors throw out a tremendous amount of heat. I used the goodyear insta-grip hose. I think I got it from home depot. It is rated to 190 degrees which I'm sure you'll get above but it always held up for me. I assume it's because it has a healthy safety factor and can go to a higher temperature, you just start loosing the pressure rating. I used it to fill my 37s and a friends 35s back to back with no problems.
I also never used a tank. I always thought about getting one but just never really had a reason to. You'd probably need it to run air tools or set a bead but air tools always just seemed too heavy to carry with me. I also used 3/8" line so it could move a fair amount of air. Filling up tires even without a tank it was about as fast as my CO2 setup.

What kills the lines in this case isn't the pressure. It's the heat. The pressure switch and pop off ensure that the pressure doesn't get crazy but the heat melts them.

Yes. I used to have heat problems until I swapped my lines out.
