No, I am merely pointing out it can be done. I cannot afford a $490. dollar drive line so I have built them in the past and I just redid my front as it was rubbing on a suspension part. The one in the picture is 1020dom 1.75x .250 wall with a reduced 1,25 solid section which is made out of 4130 chromoly. it has less than .010 run-out and is not balanced as it is the front and I drive flange's with the retainer to pull the slug and run open. Be more than happy to help if he decides to build something. Mark

Thanks guys - unfortunately i will be ordering one of those $400 + ones - and go figure the day after I order the driveshaft and other stupid junk i didn't need and now the front shock is leaking :

How tall is your lift? I have two front RE monotube shocks (Bilstien) sitting in my storage shed.

The shocks are made for a 4.5" lift. You're probably fine, or even better if you're running leveling coil spacers up front, or you could add them when you do the shocks.
