We could still use a couple more rigs if you can make it. mr-green

----------------
The FOF will be escorting a group of 6 FS people in to the Mud Hole area for a second look at our proposed trail re-route on Friday July 25th. We need at least three additional seats as of now. Extras would be good too. After looking at that area we are planning on taking a look at our proposed Committee Trail re-route as well. If approved we can start clearing it out Saturday. It's a short re-route and could be done in one day if we get enough people willing to show up on the chance we get the go ahead.

Please let me know if you would like to participate.

In addition to our public relations contact, Joe Chavez we will be taking a:

Botanist
Wildlife Biologist
Archaeologist
Recreation Planner

We will also be taking our new Tahoe Forest Supervisor, Tom Quinn in for a ride.

Take this opportunity to help out and meet Tom and the personel that are working to keep our access to the Fordyce trail alive.

We will meet at Cisco Grove campground Friday at 10 am.

I will be there if I can get the time off at work, which shouldn't be a problem....I have one seat.

I can probably make it as well on Saturday morning (work schedule permitting) and would have one seat available. I'll confirm as the date gets closer.

Out in the garage collecting parts....

I took the day off, so I will be there on Friday. I am not sure about Sat. yet. I am running the trail this Monday, lets just hope I don't break anything 😈

Yes...we will be camping Friday and Saturday night. Friday night will most likely be at FD Lake and you are more than welcome to join us.

When you are up on Monday keep an eye out for this trouble spot reported. I am not sure you will be going this way but if you are please take a few pics for me.

Thanks!

TRAIL REPORT

If you haven’t seen it, you should be aware of some trail abuse at Committee Trail. Basically, if your coming up from river and are almost to long dirt section, there’s the two way split…well, now there’s three ways. Runs about 40’ through what were a few small trees. Noticed it 3 weeks ago and tried to block it off but they were gone again by last weekends trip. My son and I, once again, stacked more logs but by Sunday’s exit they were moved again. Irritating.

Sounds good, any specific tools you need for the work day? Shovel, clippers, chainsaw, etc?

Don't think I'm going to be able to make this one after all. Had a little fall out from the Barrett Lake cleanup this past weekend. Need to get a new front driver's hard brake line and longer soft lines for both sides. I'll report back if I can get to them during the week

Out in the garage collecting parts....

Rainfly, I am on slight hold for Friday, SORRY..........I ripped my driver side upper and lower control arm brackets off my frame today on Fordyce...I am going to call my fab guy tomorrow morning and see if he will do an emergency repair for me.. I should have a answer for you by tomorrow afternoon. John is being a nice guy and not gloating about the fact I had to be towed home on a flatbed again 👿
