Plan is to meet at Placerville Starbucks, between Taco Bell and McDonalds on the eastern side of the town at 730, and leave for Apple Hill just before 8.
We will likely plan to visit a few new places like DelFino Farms and Jack Russel Brewery, among others and some usual places.
This is a casual run and does not require you to bring your trail vehicle.
Mark you calendars and post up here when you get the chance. This is a Sunday run.

We are in for Apple Hill, would this be a good run for us to “host a bbq”? Stace and I have been just hanging around the group and we want to fulfill our requirements to be Full Fledged members lol, in all seriousness let us know your thoughts. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Generally it would be difficult to host a bbq since there are large crowds at lunch time and later. I'd suggest just offering up a local park by your house as a pot luck, or similar.

We have a maintenance run coming up. That’s a good one for a BBQ. I did mine on one 14 years ago.

Small group had fun. Had people who posted they'd be there who didn't make it which left us standing around a bit, but everything worked out.
Surprisingly we spent a lit of time at only a few farms this trip. Different and still fun. We left when it started to get packed.
No Arkansas Black Apples yet, too early.
There will be another Apple hill run posted shortly, likely in early November when the crowds are reduced.

Thanks for coordinating this Brad. It was fun and the weather was magic.
I will mention at the next meeting about the "ghosting" effect that's starting. lol
Just FYI, if you do post you are coming to an event and wind up not being able to make it, no harm no foul, but do let someone on the event run know. We get people can change plans or run late, but it takes 2 seconds to let someone know you won't make it so they don't wait.
Ok, I'm off my soap box.
