The Spring Strawberry Trail Maintenance run will be May 2nd, 2015. This is to clean and fix up the Gold Hills Posse sponsored trail. It is an open event to all, this is a chance for everyone to run this beautiful trail and at the same time help out the Eldorado Forest Service to maintain this great trail. The meeting location for this run will be at Fresh Pond Chevron service station parking lot, at 8:30 am. This is at the fresh Pond exit off HWY 50. At 9:00am we will head up to the trail. This is one of two runs for the Strawberry Trail Maintenance that is required of the club members. Be sure to post if you will need a open seat to ride along. Bring food for a great noon lunch stop on the trail. Also be sure to have a pair of gloves and if you have them some branch loppers or hand saw. We will be clearing the trail of downed trees, pruning branches, bush that need trimming, and doing any other maintenance that the trail needs.
Please post if you'll be going.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

I'll be there. I will need to ride along if someone has an available seat. I have a plan for custom rock sliders for my F-150 but they won't be done by then. Should I bring my chainsaw or will there be enough already? How do I take the Forest Service class to be authorized to use the saw on the trail?

Awesome Rich!!
The Forest Service chainsaw class is offered occasionally throughout the year. Basically, when they have enough interest, they schedule a class. So it can be hit and miss. You will be required to have a first aid card to participate in the class as well and the Forest Service will help coordinate that class.
The good news is we can still use a ton of help with other tasks other then chainsaw work. We need certified lopperers and professional cut brush clearers. Both are difficult jobs and only the best and highly skilled like myself can take on these positions.
Thank you for your interest and support in keeping our trails in pristine condition!!
Um...what?

Ok I need help. Doing the clean up will be our 3rd outing, we've made a billion meetings and now we need to feed you guys. (Which I love to feed people!) So... How do I go about feeding everyone on this event? We are looking to make Member Status because as "slug slime" status we can't see stuff like the HELL HOLE run and therefore I can't plan my summer calendar correctly.
Thanks. L

Logan and I can get there, but will need seats for the trail. My Jeep is down for a bit, low oil pressure at idle and a leaky water pump. With the move taking all my spare time, I couldn't, and won't have it fixed any time soon... Logan's Jeep is not registered until he gets his license.
But on the bright side, I do have a killer shop to work on them when I do get some time.

David, you can still lead the run by riding with others who have seats, like me!
No reason not to make it now!
Except that two of my staff found full time jobs and resined, and another one's wife just had a baby. So with all that, I have to work and can't go. even if my Suzuki was running.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.
