I am going to lead a run this upcoming weekend for deer valley trail! This will be a camping trip going from north to south.

Leaving early Saturday morning( exact time to come) we will be camping at the second creek crossing and finishing the trail Sunday.

If anyone wants to do a straight shot through they can.

After exiting to the south we will head east on highway 4 and head into Tahoe. Possibly stopping for a beer or two at a brewery. Time permitting.

Attending so far is myself, my buddy Brett in his JKUR and Kevin who may or may not Camp.

Sort of late notice I know. Let me know who wants to go.

Update: Meeting place will be at 0900 Sly Park Shell station. The one we meet at for snow runs. We'll want to roll out as quick as possible so a quick fill up and we'll be on the road.

Update: Original post updated with time and place.

The second crossing is about halfway through the trail 3 miles in or so. So you guys will be on your own for a little while on the way out!

Man I've always wanted to do deer valley trail and my wife said I'm good to go do a day run as long as I didn't get out of the jeep.

But I have plans this weekend getting rid of some Samurais and parts. angrycrying2

I'm interested, but since my truck is in California and I am in New Jersey, I probably won't make it.

Awesome day with great people!

Day runners off the trail safely. (Kevin, John, & Josh)

Thanks for planning this run Brian.

My first time on this trail. Lots of obstacles and down trees. Great trail with good views.

A day in a Jeep on the trail priceless!

Josh is leaving out the part where he tried to roll his Jeep down a big hill.

Glad you guys had fun. Sorry I couldn’t make it. We had a rough night and my dog manage to take my internet out and my wife isn’t going to stay home all day without Netflix. Lol!

Um...what?

I was testing my off camber skills.

God was on my side. Kept me upright.

It was a nice and fun day.

Lots of logs, trees, and tight squeezed on the south side.

Wow! You’ll have to tell me how this happened!!

The campers are home. Off the trail around 11am and home by 3!  Great night at camp!

I would like to say that that has never happened to me but there is photographic evidence of me on big sluice being winched from the front and rear back on to the trail. It was a pucker moment being way off camber with lots of room to keep rolling!
