Bummer Grant can’t make it but good to hear you are and are getting settled into the new place. Imma throw a reservation out both nights for some dinner time cooking space on that griddle! I have my camp table I’ll bring we can use. Looking forward to it.

Do we want to combine our resources so we are not all packing the same things for cooking.
Good idea Chris. I have a two burner stove that fits in my camping box but I only have a charcoal BBQ which takes up too much space in my TJ. If I could use someone's BBQ that would be great. As of today there are no campfire restrictions in the Eldorado National Forest. Everyone, be sure to get a campfire permit for your fire or gas stove. Here is the link: https://permit.preventwildfiresca.org/
Just a heads up, fire restrictions just went into effect so propane stuff only on the trail. I have a small and medium sized propane fire pits if y'all want to borrow one of them. The small one is a lava box (Ammo Can size) and the medium on is a Little Red (milk crate size).

I wonder if someone could help me ,one morning lift off my Hard top, before the trip.My neighbor is out of town ,that helps me out sometimes.
I am near Madison and Hazel
Thanks Richard
If nobody else can, or if they are not closer, I could help. I'm out in lincoln and it would be a bit of a drive

Richard, I'm above Auburn but if someone closer can't help you I can come down and give you a hand. You just reminded me that I need to put my safari top on in the morning.

Thank you also, same thing I don't want you to have to drive that far. I am hopping that my neighbor will be back.
If not I will figure out something .

OfflineThat's why I built something to lift off my top on the side of my house many years ago. Even with a friend, my top kept getting heavier each year. A few 2x4's, 2 lengths of electrical conduit to span across, and 4 cambuckle tie down straps to lift and lower.drive under, lift, drive away and lower.

Thanks Kris but we’ll have one. (Sean is being his lava box)

Feel better Jeff. Luckily most people aren't getting near as sick with covid as they were a few years ago. See you on the next one
My son crewed for one of the top runners in the Western States 100 endurance run last weekend. Kathy always goes to watch parts of the race. At the finish area at Placer High she was with my son, the runner, his entire support team and his family. Found out from my son today that several people in that group came down with Covid this week. So far I don't feel too bad so hopefully it stays that way.
