Hey guys, I'm feeling pretty good this morning. Sore throat is gone and the only symptom I have is very mild nasal congestion. I had the booster in the fall so that might be why I'm doing so well compared to my wife and son who didn't get their boosters. I'm going to pack my Jeep and I will make a game day call in the morning if I'm going or not. If anyone is concerned about exposure to covid please let me know and I will be happy to sit it out. I certainly don't want to give Covid to anyone, especially if they have any condition that would put them at higher risk if infected. I'm planning to do another Covid test tonight to see if it is still positive and I will probably take a test kit with me on the trip. Who doesn't enjoy have a swab inserted in their nose two feet? I was already planning to bring a bottle of germicide/antiviral formula, well, some call it scotch, so that should take care of any airborne viral agents. I will text Chris and Jamie in the morning and post on the forum whether or not I am going.

Offline Everytime I've gone out to pack the last few days, I just hear jeffs voice in my head. "Oh hell no"
It's been to hot to be outside to pack. I'll have no choice but to do it tonight after I get out of the pool.

Online I'm all packed except for the food and the duffle bag with my clothes. Hopefully we don't get smoke from the fire up by royal Gorge. Looks like it has a lot of potential but it is well north of the rubicon.

Offline New fire "Royal fire" just started north of French meadows lake, south of I80. Right now still very small, but something to keep an eye on tonight and as we head to the trail in the morning. On a map, it's not to far from Loon lake.

Offline Im still planning on going. My biggest concern at this point would be air quality. When I first saw it I thought it was just above French meadows, but it looks a lot closer to I80. Still close enough to keep an eye on.

Offline Well today didn't go as planned. Broke a rear drive shaft and messed up the yoke on the rear diff. Bent the tie rod trying to get unstuck in front wheel drive. Decided to tuck my tail and come back out. Almost home now on a tow truck. Everyone else was doing great and continued on as planned, including my daughter who left me and jumped in with Sean. Thanks to everyone who helped get back out to pavement.

I agree Jamie did great job leading and that we should get 2025 on the calendar. What about doing it June 25-27 though so we can do Wed-Fri before 4th July Holiday?
