Another fantastic camping and wheeling trip! Hermit valley campground was amazing as always. Thanks Jeff for checking into the burn restrictions. Having a camp fire Friday night and Saturday morning was so nice. And it was freezing!! Haha. Deer valley trail was perfect. Didn’t see any other rigs until we got to the first water crossing. 2 groups were headed from blue lakes to hermit. We made great time on the trail, 4 hours including a lunch stop. Yep all good. Looking forward to next one.

Could not agree more. Was a great trip! I’m back to the cabin for one more day of mountain therapy before back to real world tomorrow. I’m already looking forward to the next wheeling and camping trip. LOL

Me and Romi are back safe too. Wow this was a great time with some fantastic people. 2 trails in 2 days and 1 chilly night is now in the books.
The fire was roaring with fire captain Romika on duty. We missed Jeff on the hunt for wood but managed with a reciprocating saw, charger battery, all the dead wood around and Roberts stash he brought from home. Thanks Robert. Oh, and the chainsaw from certified chain saw Maniac Brian. Good work Brian.
We also went on an adventured by foot and found valuables stashed in the woods that we strategically, safely and forensically sorted through with sticks. We determined it was definitely stolen goods and probably from a tweaker thief. Or maybe just a thief but I think a tweeker thief. You should of seen our eyes light up when we seen the.... (Pause for suspense) brass knuckles. Don't ask me why we just left them there. I could use a pair of those for sure.
Being "off grid" was the best. Yes, there was Starlink Satellite Internet but that was just for safety and music. Thanks Elon Musk. Good memories made for sure. We had a blast and can't wait to get in on the next run. Especially a night out in nature. Those stars were incredible. Good times! Thanks everyone.

Home, Unloaded, and Showered.
Thanks for the great trip everyone. Couldn't have asked for better weather and trail conditions. It was like we had the trails all to ourselves. Romika amazed everyone with her skills toasting a whole smore with a 2 pronged fork. That was Cracker, Chocolate, and Marshmellow stacked and she was even rotating it. How it didn't shoot off into the night, I don't know. Fun was had by all and can't wait for the next overnighter. Thanks Jeff and Rob for setting this up and Dale for stepping in and taking the lead on Slick Rock on short notice. We kept Rob in check Friday night

I'm glad you all had a great trip. Thank you to those of you who stepped up to make sure this run happened (you know who you are!) after I broke my Jeep. Had my Jeep been done one to two days sooner, I would have been there with you. I also want to thank Brent who introduced me to these two trails. He has lead this run for us and I have to say, I think this is my favorite run for a combination wheeling and camping trip. Maybe next year we should make it a three day trip and camp on the trails somewhere. This is the perfect time of year for this run. I hope the recent rains made it a little less dusty. I'm looking forward to hearing about the run at our next meeting.
