Sunday October 22, 2023 will be our second trail maintenance run of the year on Strawberry Pass Trail. This is the trail the club sponsors. To maintain member status you must make at least 1 trail maintenance run a year (so if you missed the spring maintenance or the August Forest Service show-n-tell, this is your opportunity). Our key goals for this run are bucking trees down in the area, trash pickup, any erosion control we can address with hand tools, etc. We will use the club's HAM PosseV2 frequency for communications, so bring your HAM radios.
Also, as a reminder, maintenance runs are a great opportunity for anyone needing to host a bbq/pot-luck for membership to do so. If you plan to do so, please post so folks know and can contribute.
Meet at the Subway/Shell station in Pollock Pines off of Hwy 50 and Sly Park exit at 8:30am. We will meet and after a quick drivers meeting will head up to the trailhead about 9:00am.

I plan to be there. It will be my 2nd trail/event so I am bringing food as an early "bbq". I plan to bring sandwiche fixings.
Will be checking back on 10-20 for a head count.
Kathy and I will be there (head count of two). I will bring a large bag of Doritos chips.
Question for trailmaster Brian regarding potential member BBQ: Will we be having a group lunch or will we be split up at lunch time?
Also as an FYI, I see that there is a chance of rain in the forecast for Sunday.

We will check the weather the morning of and make a game day decision on what is happening.
Personally I'm not concerned if we get some rain on Sunday. I put my full doors on today in anticipation of rain. I would like to have kept my half doors on until after the maintenance run but I would have put the full doors on right after the run anyway.
