Did this a week ago but forgot to post. Here's where I mounted my fire extinguisher. Within arms reach if in a hurry.

Heavy duty drag link is in! Built from DOM and 1-ton drag link ends from Ruff Stuff. The stock drag link was bent. Also trimmed the rear shock mounts and gained a couple inches of clearance there.

Extended my breathers and got wire loom around my locker wires today. Rear axle breather is now up behind the passenger brake light. Front axle, transmission, and t-case breathers are up high in the engine bay. Transmission breather was a PITA. First pick show the breather (little black circle). Second shows new hose connected.

Nice Kevin! My tranny is different than your year. I have a rectangular boot on mine, instead of the circular one like yours.

Thanks. Is your tranny breather in the same general area?

Also got this under the passenger seat and connectors on the side of each front seat. Still need to wire it up.

Nice compressor fit! I have a locking drawer there.

My breather must be near yours, but I didn't see the circle like you pointed out.

Those compressors get hot. Is the carpet ok?

It's on a metal bracket attached to the seat frame and sits above the carpet.

Kevin, another question for you, did you have to modify your knuckles to fit the ruffstuff tie rod?

Um...what?

Tie rod, no. Drag link, yes. The drag link TREs from them have a wider taper and a larger degree of movement than the regular TREs.

So, what did you find in your research Kevin? New plans for the drag link?

Um...what?

Cheapest option is to just carry two joints for trail spares.

All the aftermarket drag links seem to be bent just like Kevin's. I don't get why his failed? I'm thinking faulty cast or something. It doesn't make sense to me.

Um...what?

I stopped by Ruff Stuff yesterday but there wasn't anyone there to authorize a warranty exchange. I'll stop by tomorrow after work. I'll let you know what I find out. The guy working there yesterday looked surprised to see one snapped in half.

Look at John DFs. They look similar but the joints are different.

Just carrying a couple spares will solve problem.

Maybe we can add a straight joint? Could that work?
