I guess I could throw some more grease in my CTMs but that would be my last guess. Remember, I have hubs, so my shafts should not be turning.
How is this possible with manual hubs? Nothing should be spinning while you are driving. Is this noise only in 4wd, or all the time?

That's what I was saying. It's in 2WD which is why I'm thinking hub or spindle.
I used to wheel a lot. . .

Oops.
Hub is my guess.

I pulled the Jeep in and removed the wheels...
The wheel had play in it which leads me to believe that the spindle nuts are coming loose again.
Once I got the wheels off I spun everything. One side is grinding but spins freely. The other side is very difficult to spin, kinda like the brakes are partially applied.
Next step?
I used to wheel a lot. . .

Get a can of WD-40 and spray them down, you might have just gotten some moisture in the piston or even just some dirt. Had to do that on the Rubicon the first year we all went. Sprayed 'em up real good and problem went right away. Sounded exactly like what you're describing too.

Don't spray the brake pads or the rotor surface. You don't want any oil of any kind on them.

There's no adjustment to front disk brakes. If you've got a brake dragging like that, you've got a problem. It could be a corroded piston like Troy mentioned. It could be a bad caliper. It could be a crushed brake line going to that caliper. It could be a bad combination valve. It could be, but not likely since the other front caliper isn't dragging, a bad master cylinder.
