Everyone is off the trail safely.
We had a great day. The weather was perfect. Not too hot. Not cold. We were able to do 95% of the trail. We got down the backside, including the cliff, and got within 100 feet of the water. Had lunch down by the waters edge. great view of the lake. Then we climbed back out. The only part that gave us a hard time was the sharp turn by the tree with the waterfall. All made it out safely though. Great day! With great people. Thanks to all that came and made it great.
A day in the Jeep on the trail, Priceless!

Thanks Josh for a Hell (Hole) of a good time today. I always look forward to this run because it's kind of the unofficial start of rock crawling season. Great group of people to wheel and spend a day with, including Dale and Roy's guests and Brian's son and Chris' daughters. As always, Josh did a great job of leading the run and watches out for all of us. Much appreciated Josh.

To top off this trip, I had a bear run across the road about 50 yards in front of me. I was in a hurry to get home because I was planning to meet Kathy in Rockin after the run. Roy left first and I was behind him by about five minutes after airing up. Since he was trailering his Jeep, I expected to catch up with him soon. I saw a little cloud of dust on the paved road so I knew I wasn't too far behind him. A few seconds later a medium size black bear (brown in color but a black bear) trotted across the road in front of me. One of many things that made it a great day. I think he thought Dale was planning to camp up there (inside joke).

I bet that bear was chasing away the deer that were planning on jumping out in front of you

Sounds like you guys all had a great time. Josh is always a fantastic host and this run is amazing.
Thanks for letting us know ya'll made it home safely. We used to do that on every run but especially the harder ones.
It's awesome we have some serious radios now too. We can reach out and get ahold of someone when/if needed.
See ya'll soon!
