Cool but I wonder if they would keep more stuff in or out? As for the V-8 you might want to think about that. I would never swap my 6 back in BUT, 7 rear drivelines, 2 Atlas explode-doooo's,2 TJ trans mounts, 3 poly trans mounts and counting. Only trail failure was one trans mount. ( And Sue wonders why I drive like an old woman on the trail.)
Good lord.

Jeep is done. All new rear gears and DL. Ready to go out and see what I can do to this one 😈 According to WFO they are pretty sure the ring gear failed because the pinion depth was way to deep from the original install 🙁 Good to know that it wasn't me though

Who did the original install? How long did it last? That's what always makes me want to have someone else do mine.

I had a guy up here in Auburn do them. His shop is over in the "Sutherland complex" Off Auburn Ravine rd. He is reputable so I am not sure what went wrong. I estimate that the gears lasted about 1000 miles or so. That is all have I have driven mine in the last 3 years.

The rear Genright sway bar really helps off road but what I have found out is on road it is very stiff with the front swaylock locked in for on road use. I have found that disengaging the front swaylock like I do for off-road use while on the pavement the rear and front work perfect together. I think the perfect combination would be an Antirock up front with the Genright sway bar in the rear.
Genright even tells you on their site the rear bar is extremely stiff and could be run without a front sway bar, but I am not a fan of not running a front sway bar.

I dont know much about swaybars on 4x4s, but on road cars they can be used to tune over/under steer. Stiffer the front = more understeer Stiffer the rear more oversteer Dont know what that means with swishy 4x4 tires. Tire pressure and shock rates are also tune-able factors for on-road handling.

After breaking my "Swaylock" front sway bar, I bought another "Curri Antirock" for the front. Just like I thought, the Genright rear and the Antirock in the front is the perfect off and on road combination. I actually like the ride better than I did with the "Sway Lock" up front.
Another change I made was building myself another front track bar. The RE Joint I was using on the upper mount kept failing after a run or two. This time I built the track bar using "QA1 XM-16-1 1.0" CroMo heims" on both ends. The axle end uses a 3/4 inch bolt and the frame side uses a 5/8th inch bolt. Very stout 😈 😈 😈 😈 😈

Sell someone your broken Sway-Loc. You should be able to get a couple hundered for it since it can be fixed for a couple hundred. Maybe it will cover your new antirock

That's the same problem I had, but my "upgrade" kit was $240. 🙄
Maybe they are making crap, and having to retrofit their stuff, so they aren't offering good prices anymore...

I sent ORO a very polite e-mail last night explaining my issue with them. We will see what type of response I get back. If they don't make an attempt to make things right or offer me a smokin deal on a upgrade kit, then I am going to do my best to bad mouth them on ever forum I can think of. I realize the swaylock is 2 1/2 years old, but I find it pretty sad when a company doesn't offer a replacement part on a 2 1/2 year old item. I am not asking for anything free, I just want what is fair. I will pay for a replacement torsion bar, I am just not going to pay them $500 for an upgrade kit when I gave them $550 2 /1/2 years ago for the one I have now that has broken twice!
