Offline I got the axle all painted up yesterday and installed it under the Jeep. I am hoping that sometime today it will be ready for a test drive 😀 I still need to measure and go get my front drive line narrowed and shortened. After that I need to finish my fenders and hood vents then it will be off for a test run

Offline I got everything hooked up today, but I was burnt out and didn't feel like a test drive. Next week I will work on the fenders and stuff. This is a lot of work for one person!!!!
You asked about the vents? I am doing it because on the last trip to Fordyce with my 40's, I started over heating a couple times which never happened on 37's..I figure it is due to the extra work the engine is doing, so I will try hood vents to see if it will let some hot air out and help things out!!

Offline Rob is not a patient man...he can't stand to wait a couple of days for help...he'd rather just get it done NOW.
And I think it's awsome that he was brave enough to take on this kind of project. And it looks like he did a good job.

Offline When I built my stuff, I was the same way. I'd just work on it whenever I had the time and never waited around for help. Some things are just easier to blast through when you've got an hour or two here and there...

Offline It just kills me when my Jeep is down, so I waste no time getting it back up and going or I will drive myself and my wife crazy

Offline I drove my Jeep today. It drives very nice and no bump steer 😀 The steering is way more sensitive than before. Notsure if it is the wider axle, shorter pitman arm, King pins, etc ??? Just have to get used to it like any new axle. My final new front width outside of tire to tire is 83 1/2 inches, I used to be 80 1/2... I will post some more photos tomorrow..I have a few more tweeks to do before it is all done!!!
